New Orleans Restaurants

My husband and I are taking a trip to New Orleans in March. We will be there for 3 nights. We will then be traveling to the Gulf Shores of Alabama to visit family.

Can anyone recommend a nice, quiet, romantic restaurant in New Orleans that serves genuine creole/southern type food? Somewhere in the $15-$25 an entree price range.

Also, are there any sites we should see on the drive from New Orleans to Gulf Shores?

Thanks!
Lori
Hi There. My husband and I went to New Orleans in March 2001. We greatly enjoyed dinner at NOLA, one of Emeril's restaurants in New Orleans. The food and service were excellent. The noise level was up there, and they were very busy, but this didn't detract from the overall experience.

I have been to New Orleans several times. It is my favorite city. So many restaurants to choose from...all serve the real thing. you will have no problem finding a restaurant. problem will be to choose as they are all wonderful. Have a great time

Try Mona Lisa's near Bourbon St. It's pizza, pasta. Not expensive at ALL.

Mr. B's Bistro is a strong candidate. Part of the Brennan family properties. Great atmosphere, authentic creole cuisine, super quality.
