New Orleans/Provincial Hotel
 

I'd be grateful for anyone who has feedback on this hotel. We had previously booked a room at the Historic French Market Inn and were grateful to receive several warnings in order to cancel in time. Don't want to make the same mistake again!!! Many thanks!

I've never stayed at either place, but I've had friends stay at The Provincial and were quite pleased with it. I've heard only negative things about the Historic French Market Inn.

Stayed at this lodging about 2-3 years ago and found it very acceptable - and affordable!..One caveat: its rooms are spread out over a whole host of buildings (some of them quite old...tho they may be charming. We were in a newer section, on a 'patio side-alongside the pool). But you might want to inquire just 'where' they will be lodging you. We were pleased, and loved the location.

We've stayed at the Provincial several times. It has a nice location on a very quiet street (Chartres) within the Quarter. <BR> Do ask which building you'd be staying in. (We prefer the one facing the street.)
