New Orleans Overview-Things To Do

If you have children go to the Audubon Zoo and then the Audubon Aquarium. Take them to City Park (take the City Park trolley) for the amusement rides and other fun.
Don't miss a parade for lots of beads and fun; the Nat'l Park Service gives a great free tour at 9:30am on Decatur St., but a must to get in line before 8:30am; take the St. Charles St. trolley and on the way back get off at Washington St.(go right) for a walk through some beautiful old homes and a cemetary; lots of 'no cover charge' bars on Bourbon St. at night--try Howlin' At The Moon with a couple of crazy piano players; Riverfront Walk is nice, but you can buy the same items cheaper around town; Best Bet: get a 1 or 3 day Travel Pass for unlimited rides on any bus or trolley; try eating in other areas outside the French Quarters; cans of Louisiana coffee are cheaper at the airport; and if you like oysters, there are none finer than Louisiana ones!
Enjoy!
