Have one evening (Friday) to hear some music. Looking at Pat O'Brians piano bar, Lafiette Blacksmith Shop bar and Spotted Cat.

Recommendations? other suggestions?

We loved Preservation Hall. Isn't in next to O'Brians?

Spotted Cat is good. I'd just wander down Frenchman st and stop in when I heard something good.

Irwin Mayfield

are playing that night. Usually they are not in NOLA on Fridays but if they are they are great, great performers.
