new orleans - may 22nd thru may25
I see a good rate at intercontinental....would like a pool and nice hotel with some character......anyone have ideas? It will be a week in the upper 80''s so relaxing at a nice place is important.
Airfare is booked.....HELP!!!! |
I stay at the Maison Dupuy frequently. None of the pools that I have encountered in the Quarter are much. So don't expect a lot (anywhere) in that department. The Dupuy also has a fine restaurant that is often over-looked (Dominiques) & favored by the locals, more than visitors.

I booked a king at the intercontinental.
not looking for much, just a small nice pool. stayed at whydham a few years ago..nice hotel, small but servicable pool to sit out and read a few chapters before the debauchery of the evening. so which restaurants have survived and excell in their given craft? I will look at Maison and any other French quarter hotels as more interesting, so long as they have a little pool to spend a few QUIET hours at! Wow this happened fast. This morning I had Bermuda on my mind and I am now in the French Quarter celebrating the renewal of NOLA |
I meant I stayed at the Windsor. Anyone have any other suggestions? I got some ideas on a thread I posted in the Lounge, and will be searching availability and rates this afternoon.

Our favorite is the Windsor, but have stayed several times at the Interontinental and liked it very much (don't know about the pool). We've gotten some very good prices in their junior suites online.
