New Orleans Jazz Fest 2010
We're going to the New Orleans Jazz Fest next month. We've been to New Orleans many times, but never to the Jazz Fest. Any suggestions/advice/tips will be greatly appreciated.

You'll have a ball and see some really great music. The stages are all going simultaneously, so consult your schedule so you don't miss anyone you really want to see.
I've only been once about 10 years ago, but the Gospel tent offers a little break from the sun, and chairs. I'll never forget the shrimp etoufee I had in the park. |

Good to know, since we'll likely be eating lunch in the park (dinners are all accounted for!) <<<consult your schedule so you don't miss anyone you really want to see.>>> We've decided we don't really care -- we'll just wander. The big names (Bon Jovi, Richie Havens) I can see anywhere, so the point of going to a music festival, for us at least, is to see/hear musicians you wouldn't otherwise get to see/hear! |
That's true - but you do have some time to at least check out some of the bands on YouTube or MySpace - you dont want to miss something great!
