We stayed at The Marriott on Canal Street. Not out of the ordinary, but served its purpose well. Have Fun!

To Sandy: Is the Marriott on Canal walking distance to the Quarter? And is it a safe area to walk in at night.

We stayed at the Sheraton on Canal st., and found it to be a very nice hotel. Very close to everything

Sorry- Been away for a couple of days. <BR>Yes, within walking distance to Quarter. Ok to walk at night, is very busy area. Like anywhere in N'awlins,(or anywhere else for that matter)just be alert (we got pickpocketed checking into our hotel once in the Quarter..!) and have a really fun time- New Orleans is a great place!
