New Orleans Hotel - Help Needed
I'm looking to surprise my wife with a trip to New Orleans next week, 9/22 - 9/24.
We've been there 10+ times, but this will be the first since Katrina. Got a good deal on airfare, but I'm looking for a good rate for a French Quarter Hotel for the two nights. I've looked far and wide, but haven't found any of the $99 or less rates people mention from time-to-time. Anyone seen any deals out there? I've stayed at the Dauphine, Historic French Market Inn, JW Marriott, Queen and Crescent to name a few. Anything comparable would be acceptable. Have always wanted to stay at the Monteleone, Royal Sonesta, etc. Thanks for your help. |
The Ramada Inn on Bourbon has some for $129-159 and if you use an American Express card they will deduct another 5%. The main Ramada website also has another deal with AmEx - pay for the room with the card and they will reimburse up to $20.00 for a meal that you use the card to purchase while on vacation.

That seems to be a busy weekend in New Orleans, and weekends are always more expensive. For instance, during the week the Monteleone rate is $89 but about $250 on the weekend. You might find a better deal on the site above. Good luck! :) |
On the site above, for the weekend you'll be in New Orleans:
Royal Sonesta, $159 Monteleone, $189 |
That is a busy weekend due to the Superdome reopening for Monday night football.
I did see that Queen and Crescent has rooms for $68/night on hotels.com |
Oh, that is a biggie. Thanks uptowngirl. I completely forgot about that.

Did you find a room, amwisdom?

Thanks for everyone's help. The Q&C rate of $68 was a great find! I'm holding out till next week to see if rates for the FQ drop to $99. If not I'll have to use some Starpoints for the W in the quarter.
Thanks again. |
Ended up getting a really good rate at the Place D'Armes hotel on St. Ann through their website.
Thanks again for everyone's help. |
