Just got a great rate at the Courtyard Marriott in New Orleans. Anyone have any comments on the hotel? Thanks!

The one on St. Charles.

okay. lost the crowne plaza, but booked this hotel (a double for 2 couples) for the 2nd weekend of jazzfest. has anyone stayed there-the one on st charles, by the way. is the fq close? we're trying to save on cab fares. we also want to hit some clubs away from the fq, any suggestions? we're in our late 20s and enjoy jazz and funk.

The Courtyard is just 2 blocks off on Canal in the Central Business District. You'll need transportation to/from the Fest but you can walk to/from the Quarter.<BR><BR>Try Frenchmen Street in the Faubourg Marigny for clubs. There are several music clubs that cater to the 20-40 age crowd. Lots of jazz, blues and improvisational music.

How about the Rennaisance in historic district. Has anyone stayed there?<BR>

Not the best and not the worst hotel, but you are kinda putting yourself out of the area you want to hang out in.
