New Orleans guided and unguided tours
Appreciate info on walking tours of the French Quarter and Garden District. Off the beaten path would be a plus.

I ripped out the pages from the AAA tour book for a self-guided walking tour of the gardent district. Simple, beautiful and informative.

We are locals but still like to do tours, especially with our teens, since the city's history is so complex.
I highly recommend Friends of the Cabildo walking tours - http://www.friendsofthecabildo.org/about-tours/ Their guides are very accurate. There website has the times and price - http://www.friendsofthecabildo.org/about-tours/ Also, you asked for off the beaten path. They also offer cystomized tour. I copied and pasted below that they have listed on their website: Create your own unique New Orleans experience! Customized tours of the historic New Orleans area, including cemeteries, private homes, the Garden District, plantations and other specialty tours may be arranged on a group basis. We also offer multi-lingual tours. In 2011, Friends of the Cabildo provided all tours for the 2011 American Institute of Architects. The Friend’s guides provided AIA with 38 customized guided tours as well as 8 self-guided tours. All of these tours can be provided and adapted for private tours. Please let us know if there are any special tours of the French Quarter that you would like to see us provide.
