Hello,

Turns out I will have some free time in New Orleans the weekend of Feb 9,10,11. I have never been to the city before but it has been on my list for awhile. Looking for things to do and see. Especially restaurant recommendations! I will be staying in the French Quarter.

Like what? Do your own research if you're not going to tell us what you like or why you're visiting other than NOLA is on your list.

Of course, you may want to look up Mardi Gras and see what interests you considering that Ash Wednesday is three days after you leave.

It does help to know what your interests are........... there is a lot to see and do in NO! Some of the things I have personally enjoyed were the WWII museum; Mardi Gras World; tours of the cemeteries (www.saveourcemeteries.org ), ghost tours, and walking tours of the garden district.

Without a doubt there will be Mardi Gras parades over the weekend. Mardi is french for Tuesday. Fat Tuesday is Feb 13. Ash Wednesday is also Valentine's Day.

NOLA is one of the major food destinations in the US.
