New Orleans etc

We are planning a trip to New Orleans, Memphis and Nashville in June. Any recommendations for good hotels ideally with pools but def. with somewhere to sit in the sun after a hard days sightseeing?

The Hotel Monteleone in New Orleans has a wonderful roof top pool. Really quite lovely.

Best Western on the river front also has a roof top pool about 20 floors up. I think it over looks the river, aquarium and FQ. I never went to it but my old office used to over look it and it looked like a great location.

The Omni Royal Orleans has a rooftop pool with a view of the Cathedral and a pool bar. Quite pretty.

Best Western on the river???

Do you mean the old Westin, which is now the Wyndham?

BIG difference between Wyndham and Best Western!

Thanks Dan,
I worked in the office building above Saks 10 years ago. I didn't realize that the name changed. I also didn't realize that the old name was Western instead of Best Western. I actually watched them build the aquarium as I worked that is how long ago it was. So do you know if the view from the pool is good.

The view from the pool atop the Wyndham is very good!

I must say that a pool is often sought-after in New Orleans hotels but rarely used. I've seen dozens of people book a place because of the pool and then never use it because of time, heat, other plans, etc. Just something to keep in mind...
