New Orleans Convention Center Hotels

What hotel is the closest and most convenient to the convention center? In the past I have stayed at hotels that are "across the street from the convention center or next door to the convention center" which still meant a 15-20 minute walk. I am looking for a hotel that is either attached to the convention center or adjacent to an entrance. Don't want to stay in the quarter as most of our time will be consumed by meetings and it will be more convenient to trolley to other locations of interest if time permits. Thanks in advance for your input.

I think the Hyatt Place New Orleans or the New Orleans Downtown Marriott might suit your purposes.

If you enter "New Orleans Convention Center" into Google Maps and then click "Nearby" and "Hotels Nearby", you can see all the hotels in the vicinity of the Convention Center.

We drove past the new Hampton Inn at it is literally across the street (a little bit past midway of the convention center). Check it out using Google Maps.
1201 Convention Center Blvd.

Thanks for the responses. I will look into both of these options.

As far as I know, there are no hotels that are literally attached to the N.O. Convention Center. The Hilton, which is separated from the Convention Center by a large parking lot is among the older hotels in the area. The others mentioned above are actually closer and, arguably, nicer. The most convenient would be the Marriott, the Hampton Inn, and the Hyatt Place. But all require you to walk across a big wide street.

I've stayed at pretty much every one of the older convention hotels and I hated staying in them. It's a LONG walk to the actual exhibit floors and I always wished I could stay elsewhere and just cab it to the conference center when it was time to work. When we rode past the new Hampton Inn (in an Uber car) I thought "That's where I'd like to stay!". Cross the street (although a big wide street) and you're there. Based on google maps, you'd enter doors just east of midway. If not the Hampton, my preference would be a hotel further away and take Uber back and forth. The thing I hate most about conferences/exhibit centers = the LONG walks in work shoes.
