New Orleans- Bachelor party ideas
My husband is in charge of planning his brother's bachelor party in New Orleans. They are going for a long weekend in February. My husband has never been there but wanted to plan some activities other than just sitting around and drinking. Most of the guys at the party will be in their late 20's. Anyway, if you have any good ideas for afternoon activities we would appreciate it! Thanks! Oh, and if you know of any less expensive hotels near the French Quarter, please share as well.

I think you will like Le Marais, Provincial, Ibberville or IOB.
Hotel Le Marais @ 717 Conti Street, New Orleans, LA 504 - 525 - 2300. http://www.hotellemarais.com/ Hotel Provincial @ 1024 Chartres Street, New Orleans, LA 504 - 581 - 4995. http://www.hotelprovincial.com/ Iberville Suites Hotel @ 910 Iberville St., New Orleans, LA 866 - 229 - 4351. http://www.ibervillesuites.com/ Inn on Bourbon @ 541 Bourbon Street, New Orleans, LA 504 - 524 - 7611. http://www.innonbourbon.com/ |
Is second the Inn on Bourbon for a hotel choice but for activities first just turn them all loose in the Quarter and the fun will come to them. There are lots of walking/riding tours and buildings to examine and most hotels have a concierge that can send them in the right direction.

Go to Court Square Liquors in the Quarter. Progress from there.
New Orleans and bachelor party is: fish + barrel + shotgun. |
Thanks for all the ideas, I will pass them along to my husband!

Unless they have already decided on New Orleans to be the destination for the bachelor party, maybe consider Montreal... great nightlife, countless restaurants (many of which are affordable but we also have those classy expensive venues for the ballers), bars and pubs everywhere, lounges, supper clubs, nightclubs, strip clubs. There are multiple options to choose from.
I am looking at the date now, I will assume the bachelor party has already taken place. maybe consider Montreal for a future bachelor party or even bachelorette party. |
