I have booked four points by Sheraton french quarter for 3 nights for family of 4. Does anyone have any thoughts on this?

Hi Meggsy. I have stayed at that hotel twice in the last 2 years. I like it very much. Although it fronts on Bourbon St., it is on a corner, so you can exit the hotel and be off Bourbon St quickly and be on some nicer side streets in the Quarter. The hotel is friendly and relaxed, has a nice lobby bar, clean and tidy rooms, good front desk staff. I ask for and get a quiet room -- if that is important then ask for a quiet room in the back overlooking the pool/courtyard area, not on Bourbon St.

I used Starwood hotel points both times I stayed there. I would do so again. Very good location and service.

I am heading to New Orleans next week for 5 days, really looking forward to it. Staying at the Inn on Ursuline this time as they had a deal I could not resist and I am low on Starwood points...

P.S. Did you finalization a rental at Luna Encantada in Playa?

I am not familiar with that hotel specifically, but the location is very central to plenty of things to see and do in the FQ.

Thanks, I got a great rate through Starwood so that is why I had opted for this hotel. In regards to Luna Encantada, I will be finalising it at then end of the month as they are not taking booking as yet, but it looks great there!!

Thanks emd3, we are getting there with all the planning. Have about 2/3 of accommodation booked.
