New Orbitz Site

Have you all seen the Orbitz website lately... It looks completly different... It seems much easier to navigate, and best of all, it not provides the type of plane you are flying on but also easily lays out how long each leg of the flight is and how long your layover is.. I like it a lot more than the old way... has anyone else checked it out?

Just on it now. Much easier to read and navigate. I still think it is the best site to reasearch, then go to the airlines own site and purchase tickets.

wow, i just checked it out, it really does look different... that is pretty cool that they added those new features... Now, if i could just get them to pick me up from the airport everything would be gravy ;-)

yeah, it is easier to navigate. I really like how the site shows you all of the airline carriers at once. Makes choosing a lot easier.

Also - I just downloaded their deal detector...has anyone else ever used this?? I've found it to be pretty handy.

We used Orbitz constantly - until they failed to complete an airline reservation and cost us a flight, and two days delay. What tore it is they refused to refund $30 in taxi fare unless I sent a receipt from the driver. Orbitz finally gave us a $50 credit - and then refused to apply it until we'd completed the flight and filed a form for our $50 refund. That was the final time with Orbitz. Happy you like the website, and hope their business acumen is as nifty these days. We use their data to find flights but would never throw business their way, ever.

You could do roundtrip to TPA to LAX for example and then do one way LAX to LIH, and one way HNL to LAX. I have found when flying between NYC and TPA, that one way prices may or may not be half the price of a round trip ticket, it seems to change from day to day and week to week. Sometimes one way can cost you more than half a round trip, and less frequently, less than half a round trip.
Hope this helps. :S-

Disregard above post, suffering from a case of "terminal madness" :S- My apologies.

They've always provided the aircraft type. You just had to log in.
