Mgm just told me the emerald tower is no longer there.. now the have the grand tower and a Brend New one !!

New tower or not, I'd never want to stay there - the place is just too huge and there are so many better places to stay.

Well, BashfulLV why don't you enlighten us about all those other places that are better????? Sorry you are totally intimidated by large hotel lobbies..perhaps the Barbary Coast is more to your liking?

Personally, I like the MGM. It's the hotel we stayed at when we got married. I miss the Brown Derby though. My DH and I usually spend our days floating in the river pool and spend our nights trolling the shows and nightclubs.

Has anyone seen anything on the new "West Wing" rooms? The write up on their website says they're supposed to be more stylish. The room layout shown is just, well...odd. No bathroom exactly, separate toilet room and walk-in shower room. I'm not sure where the sink is. There's a round thing outside the shower, so maybe that's it.

Not sure what they're going for.
