We had a smaller group, and yes, it was a fun time. Enjoyed meeting the newbies.

The food was outstanding, and the Carpaccio was to die for!!! Thanks to everyone who participated.

What a great afternoon!

Trish, I may have a few photos around the table to add. Lots of empty wine bottles in view . . .

And to all who missed it, we're already discussing the date for the next GTG.

Sorry, I had to cancel at the last minute, but last October I had major flooding at my house and with the torrential rain we were having on Saturday, I just didn't feel comfortable leaving. Will try to get to the next one....!

I loved the magnet thanks!!! Who made them and how? To make me feel bad my Dad wrote me the following take on the trip, I thought I would share it with everyone who was there. Where should he post his pictures?
============================================

I've lived in Manhattan over a half century and never crossed the Hudson to get to New Jersey. The trip took on the quality of going to a foreign country. (Not a jokey anti-Jersey take). I expecting the Ferry terminal to be a water rotted pier, instead, it was a modern efficient terminal which makes no apologies for being an entrance to Jersey. The short trip was excellent. The 'other side' was equally as modern. I hopped into a cab and asked the driver to take me to Rigoletto's assuming since I was in Weehawken, he would be familiar with it. He zipped on the highway mumbling and repeating the name so I thought since he was Italian he was thinking of an opera. He was lost, and I called the restaurant and gave it to him, he seemed to know how to get there. We took off and during the trip, his phone would ring and his response was "Digami" which I heard several times on our misbegotten tour, and finally after a long trip, he turned around and drove slowly until we reach Rigoletto's. I got out and approached the restaurant and I was stopped by a number of people holding wine glasses shouted "Famousuncleart!Famousuncelart!" I was delighted. I was home. We all had stickers with our Fodors handle and our real names on them. It was interesting how most people seemed to fit their handles. It was a warm afternoon filled with fine wine (Call me a wino! But it's better than being a Whin-o) and Bob's excellent home made wine. I met Paula (?) his wife who, like me, wore open sandals, and had the perfect feet for stomping the grapes. Fine, fun conversation, and topped off with Italian food which, pardon my snobbish take of Jersey, was excellent. I do plan to go again and hopefully I can convince Yeadonite to join us.

Connie, if you e-mail me the photos I'll post them on my site with the rest of the group's, otherwise you can post them in the site where your dad normally puts his trip pics and give us a link to it. Trish

I'm posting some new pics from Auntgrapes today too!

Connie, so funny. We loved having your dad. What a great sense of humor. I think he meant to say "Budman's" vice Bob's, and "Maureen" (his wife) vice Paula. Hope to see you next time.

Budman,
Since he is a wine-o, how could you expect him to get the names straight!! I will yell at him for the errors!!! I just thought the story was so funny I had to share it!!
I will be there next time!

I posted about it on the Europe forum, because I post more often there: http://www.fodors.com/forums/threads...2&tid=34792614

By the way, was there anyone at the GTG from the Asia forum or other Fodors forums?

Sorry I missed this one, looks like all had fun. We did make up for the wine in FL this past weekend, we were at a major wine tasting event! Hope to see all at the next one.

My Dad has posted his pictures of the get together. I hope everyone finds the captions funny and not offensive. Try to guess what they are based off of! Please feel free to email me if you want any or need any corrections.
