Is this set? Because it's a bit loopy - literally. Why go to Santa Fe, then all the way to the southern fringe of the state to Carlsbad, then back north to Albuquerque and then to SF again?

Why not go immediately to Carlsbad? Is the first trip to SF a pick up auntie trip? If she's mobile but without a car (or doesn't want to leave it in Albuquerque as you bounce around the rest of the state), you can have her take the RailRunner to Albuquerque and meet you and then go to the caverns.

Los Alamos is not "on the way" to SF. It's north and west of the town and from Albuquerque or Abiquiu, you're coming from the south. Los Alamos is close to Bandelier and you can do both in a day. Tent Rocks is "on the way" from points south to SF.

Auntie ought to know the local food scene in SF. We've eaten at Andiamo and La Choza and Cowgirl BBQ and would do so again. We ALWAYS eat at Tomasita's when we go to SF.

Look for BeachGirl247 - she's written a bunch of posts on ABQ and SF eateries. If her stuff is more than 6 months old, double check whether the places still exist because restos are notorious for going under quickly (nature of the business).
