MissKelsey:
Good info. Re your note about "Connecticut has the Durham fair which is great too. Lots of animals. Not sure about the dates." We were very active in that fair for a number of years. It is THE largest agricultural fair in the Northeast. Last I had heard, they were getting 300,000 people in 3 days of the fair -- huge! Anyway, it is typically the last full weekend of September so it should be Sept. 25, 26 and 27. Just FYI. |
You may find this piece about RV travel in New England that I wrote for RV View magazine helpful:

Kim,
Thanks for the link to your article! We are President Club members ;) Utahtea |
Here's a couple suggestions:
Smuggler's Notch and Queechee Gorge (take the trails through Vermont Institute of Natural Science, not the bridge over the gorge), both in Vermont =) Cutler, ME has a trail that leads to a beautiful rocky lookout over the ocean. We heard that you could see marine wildlife like seals from there but didn't see anything that day as it was very foggy. Utahtea, did you take the trip? I've followed you for years and we seem to like the same things. We are doing New England this summer. I looked to see if you had written a trip report but didn't see one. If you have, please give us a link. If you haven't, please consider doing so. I always enjoy your thoughts and advice.

Hi Connie,
Yes, we took our New England trip and had a great time. I'll have to work on a trip report! Utahtea |
I don't know if you really have time to leave New England, but the Delaware Water Gap Nat'l Park, on the NJ/PA border, is quite scenic. Towards the end of your time the colors should be nice there as well. There are plenty of places for short walks.

Oops! That's what I get for not looking at all the dates. Looking forward to your trip report as well.
