No, it was not the most memorable experience, but why is it in the usual tourist places of MA, VT, NH, Maine they don't have seat covers? Just curious.

Faina: such an easy question to answer. It's because the restrooms were built during historic periods, probably somewhere in the late 18th and early 19th century. They did not have built-in seat cover holders in those days. :)

And your problem is???

At least they have seats :D

Because most folks are "considerate", and, for the most part, they are cleaned regularly.

If "seat covers" are important to you, why not bring a supply with you?

I'm sorry. This is a pet peeve of mine. If everyone would just SIT DOWN, we ladies would not need seat covers. I don't suppose this thought will change the world, but it's true nevertheless.

Do we need to define "seat covers" here? I thought the post was about the plastic hinged cover that goes over the seat. Others here seem to be talking about the paper protectors offered in some public restrooms ("bring your own supply"). This is important stuff.

BTW, Marilyn, we guys are just totally inconsiderate. Deal with it.

k999999, I know all about you guys. I was referring to public toilets, ladies only. And I repeat, if the females would all SIT on the seat, instead of hovering like a helicopter, there would be no problem. Please do not make me be more explicit.

My question is: does one hover while in a airplane also? Or is this only landbound hovering? :)

It takes an experienced, expert Hoverer to manage on an airplane..Because you KNOW that the minute one begins to hover, the plane hits turbulence.

Oh, I'm still suffering from jetlag... of course I meant the paper seat covers you pull up, then down. In California they have them everywhere, so I did not even think of bringing any!

Yeah, working on the report, the airplane part is almost done, I'll post it on that forum.
