New England food tours

Need an event for a weekend old girlfriends getaway. We've enjoyed a food tour of Boston's North End, Portland ME and one in NYC. Had planned on visiting Boston again but the food tour of south end we wanted to do is not offered the last weekend in September. Does anyone have a short tour, doesn't have to be food, somewhere in New England to recommend?

Last year we toured Cranberry bogs near Plymouth MA. Unfortunately after more than 30 years of annual weekend getaways, we're running out of ideas.

New Haven offers food tours - see TasteofNewHaven.com. I haven't done it yet, but it's on my list of things to do. Lots of other fun stuff to do while in New Haven also or could stay nearby at a beach resort.

Maine Foodie Tours has one in Kennebunkport. Is that the company you used in Portland? They have good reviews.

Or RI... http://rhodyfoodtours.com/tours/

Here's a walking food tour of Providence's Federal Hill http://www.savoringrhodeisland.com/.

Assume you've done the Newport Mansions.

We did one Newport Mansion a long time ago and I guess we've already waited too long for the food tour of Federal Hill. Only one ticket left.
Yes, Rizzo, we did the old port tour but I didn't remember the other choices such as Kennebunkport. Thanks!
Thanks, hlsam, never would have thought of New Haven.
