New England Foliage

How are the colors in Litchfield County, Conn and southern Vermont? We are flying into Hartford on Friday and can't wait to see the leaves. I only hope the expected rain doesn't damper our leaf peeping plans.

Just about Peak was announced in the Concord NH newspaper yesterday. Your timing is great so I hope the weather cooperates for you. Might be a good idea to think of a rainy day plan though.

Your timing ought to be just right. Things are peaking right now in Northern Vermont, and even on overcast/rainy days, it can be beautiful.
If you'd like to see some photos taken in the past few days, go to http://www.worldisround.com/articles/81572/index.html.
Enjoy your trip!

Went down to Mystic, Conn Sunday and color is just entering the state...West of 495 the color is lovely and I'm sure this coming weekend (rain predicted here Friday) the trees will all be ablaze.. then again I just look out my front window and right in front of me is a lovely maple all ablaze with red and gold..Going to buy freshly squeezed cider and apples today.

The color is just starting to get rolling in CT. There are some lovely reds and oranges out, but mainly still green. Another week or so and it should be beautiful there.
