Linda, just for your information, I made my descision to go about 8 posts ago! And, by the way, bad fries don't bother me. Annoying people do!

Margie, don't bother replying to snippy posters, it only encourages them. Have a lovely time in Big Sur.

Jean, I'm with you 100%! Thanks for your good wish.
Margie, I wasn't being snippy, reread your own posts and you will see that they are annoying. If you go to Nepenthe with a bad attitude you won't appreciate it, period.

I wouldn't worry about the food - I ate there a few weeks ago, and I thought the food was great. BTW, I had the duck glazed with mango sauce.
Margie,

Not that you need another opinion at this point but that's never stopped me before:) IMHO Nepenthe is absolutely, positively NOT to be missed. I can't imagine there are more than a dozen restaurants in the world with views as good as those to be seen while dining there.

Sure, the food is a little pricey. Chances are, however, that once you take in the views, you won't mind paying a little more. And, by the way, the food is actually pretty good (had a wonderful shrimp/scallop salad while there).

Have fun,

DAvid
