Need Suggestions for NOLA & Southern U.S. Trip

Hi Everyone:

We are heading back to NO this Fall for the NAR Realtor Conference, we just love the city! We'll spend 6 nights in the city but would like to take another week exploring a few other places. We are from Eastern Canada, will rent a car, we love a good time, and we'll venture outside the state. Any suggestions.

I'd suggest the Natchez, Louisiana for its beautiful antebellum homes, and Mobile, Alabama- smaller, "old South city. It's also a quieter and somewhat cooler time along the Florida panhandle. Many good beaches are along that stretch.

Avery Island, there is the Jungle Garden and McIlhenny Company (you can take a tour it is the Tabasco Company.

If you are interested in Cajun. Breaux Bridge is great and also Lafayette. You can take a swamp tour out of Breaux Bridge.

Natchez is well worth the trip. It is in Mississippi. Also not alot to do in Mobile. They have the USS Alabama Battleship you can tour. A short distance from Mobile in Theodore is the Bellingrath Gardens.

Thanks for the suggestions. Judging by the number of realtors registered for the conference good o'l New Oreleans may have close to 30,000 visitors in early November. I know we'll have a fabulous time.
