Need suggestions for Inexpensive Honeymoon
 

Hi, <BR> <BR>I am getting remarried in mid August. My fiance and myself are in our mmid 40's and we are a little late in planning a honeymoon. We live in New York City and both enjoy beaches and good food and wine. WE both need a relaxing vacation. Can anyone suggest some place special to go that doesn't cost a fortune? Maine would be my first choice. From the 'big city' of Portland to Acadia National Park, Maine has beaches, scenery, shopping, parks, about anything you would want. <BR> <BR>Maybe Nova Scotia or another Maritime Province of Canada? I've never been there, but with the exchange rate, you get a good bang for the buck.

I'd have agree. You could drive up from NYC to Bar Harbor. (8-9 hours). Make a stop over in Boston for a night or two. Then up to Maine. Bar Harbor has plenty of B&B's that are under $100 per night.

Hi Maria, <BR> <BR>Congrats on your wedding! I also live in near NYC. My husband and I enjoy going to Cape May, NJ for a weekend getaways. Very relaxing with great B&B's. August is still peak season but prices aren't that crazy. We honeymooned in Hawaii!! Best of luck with everything. <BR>-Jennifer

For good food and wine at great prices, no place can beat Montreal, or Quebec City. No beaches, but unbeatable places for a honeymoon eurpoean, urban setting. Of course there are lots of lakes in French canada not too far from these cities if you desire some time in the country also.
