Need suggestions for girl's trip

We just returned from our Annual Girl’s Trip and are in the process of picking a location for the next one in the spring of 2011. Need suggestions on a location (within the continental US). We usually have only 3 to 5 days, but we are good at planning carefully and budgeting our time so as to get the ‘flavor’ of the city, the main sights/highlights, and shopping. We like unique locations (such as Santa Fe, New Orleans). We enjoy visiting quaint areas and historical sites & shopping in local, eclectic shops. (Girl’s Trip Rule #1: NO shopping in any stores that we have at home, which pretty much eliminates chain stores & most malls). Our past trips have been to Savannah, Charleston, New Orleans, Santa Fe, Chicago, Boston, St. Augustine. (We have considered New York, but for now prefer a little more ‘laid-back’area due to the time restrictions. Any suggestions?

Not sure where you're all located but how about Montreal or Bermuda?

Thanks for the suggestions. We were considering San Francisco but hadn't thought of Tucson......interesting. I'll do some research.

What about Seattle, Portland or Denver?
I've never been to Austin, but hear so many great things.

We went to Napa Valley for one of our girls trips. Wine tasting, spa, shopping. It was great. On another trip we went to Sedona, AZ. Hiking, shopping, jacuzzi...rented a house. They were both fun trips.
Goodluck!

Fly into Providence and drive to 1. Newport 2. Cape Cod, specifically Orleans, Chatham area
two different trips. you could definitely spend a weekend in either. Great places to go visit.

Great suggestions everyone. I'll present all of them to the "Sista Committee" for research. Thanks so much.

If you are the group about whom a book was written, I'd be delighted to hear. My best friend's daughter gave each of us a copy since we've been friends for over 50 years!

To our knowledge, no book has been written about us - we hope!!
