Need suggestions for Ashville,NC
 

We have oportunity to go to Ashville,NC this coming weekend and need some suggestions on things to do for Saturday and Sunday. We want to go to Biltmore, but need some suggestions for some other things to do. Thank for any help.

Give us an idea of what you like to do. Hike? Whitewater raft? Shop? Any interest in Thomas Wolfe or Carl Sandburg (the former's home is in Asheville, the latter's is in Flat Rock.)

Arabella, thanks for your quick reply. We like old homes and gardens, and historic sights. We like to shop for things that are specialties of the areas we are visiting.

You could spend a morning browsing in all the galleries and interesting shops in downtown Asheville, have lunch downtown or at the Grove Park, then head to Biltmore Village (across the street from the entrance to the estate) for more shopping. New Morning Gallery is a fabulous gallery in Biltmore Village. <BR><BR>You can also take guided and unguided tours of Asheville.<BR><BR>
