Need restaurant recomendation: Walnut Creek - Concord area
 

Hello, guys, need a restaurant really close to a BART station, within a couple of blocks. I want to treat an older couple to a lunch, so it must be opened on weekends.

BART stations: from Pittsburgh to Walnut Creek, no preference. No food preference, only a sit-down restaurant, not a Starbuck.

PLEASE HELP!

Faina--When I visit my mom there, we go to Strings. Very close to the WC station, and open on the weekends. We have had nice lunches there. It is a small place, not noisy, and very good pasta.

You should try The San Franciscan restaurant located at 1525 No. Main St. The county Connection Bus will drop you off right on Main St. for free, or it is a short 5 block walk from the BART station. The restaurant is wonderful with the best patio in Walnut Creek. The food is fantastic. The prices are very reasonable. They also have a full bar and extensive wine list. The music they play has hip old time feel.

1sailorgirl--Thanks! My parents live there and dine out often. Since this place is pretty new, I will have to ask them about it. Since I had not heard of it, I Googled it. A review in the CCT wasn't too good, but you never know. BTW, welcome to the forums!

Faina--There are SO many places in that general area, so you might well find another place that appeals to you. The area between Ygnacio and Broadway Plaza is chuck full of restaurants and shops. It is all short blocks, so don't let a map deter you thinking it is further. You could literally just wander and find all sorts of great places.
