Need restaurant advice for Detroit
I am heading out for a night for business, staying at the Hyatt Regency Dearborn. Looking for a good restaurant with a Detroit feel :). I'll have a rental car or can also take a taxi. Also, if anyone has any comments on the hotel I'd appreciate it.
Thank you in advance. |
How close to your hotel do you want to stay? ie, would you be adverse to heading downtown?
|
Unique downtown Detroit bars include:
Small Plates - Tapas The Whitney - Classic, elegant Agave - Southwest Oslo - Cool sushi & more Atlas Bistro - world menu Rattlesnake Club - Fine American dining Tom's Oyster Bar - Seafood |
Thanks guys - I think we could take a cab into Downtown from the hotel if it weren't outrageously expensive?

In my previous post I should have said "unique downtown restaurants."
Probably a wise idea to take a cab into downtown so as not to get lost. I have no idea what the fares would be like or if it's even practical. You will probably be slightly shocked at the desolate condition of the city surrounding most of these restaurants, but I assure you that inside you will find a relative oasis from the blight of Detroit. I am not as familiar with restaurants in Dearborn or in the surrounding areas but perhaps someone can give you some suggestions. I doubt you'll find much better or more unique than the downtown spots though...Especially Oslo and Small Plates - two of my favorites. |
I have stayed in Dearborn many times, and my favorite restaurant there is Keirnan's Pub. Their specialty is Prime Rib.
