need resort recommendations for Kaanapali
 

We haven't been in over 10 years. we have stayed at the Sheraton Black Rock, which we really enjoyed. Also stayed at the Westin. Found it too, to be very nice.
Since it's been over 10 years, I would assume there are newer places??
Not sure how well the two above properties have aged???
Thought about Wailea. Stayed many times at the Grand Wailea. Really enjoyed the resort and the surrounding resorts, but found Wailea to be really quiet.
Also, we found the weather the most consistent on Kaanapali v Wailea v Kapalua.
My wife enjoys resorts over condos, that's why I'm asking about a resort.
Any thoughts and/or comments would be appreciated.

I like the activity in Kaapanali as well. There are actually very limited hotel choices in Kaanapali proper.

FWIW, we stayed at the Hyatt Regency in Sept. 2018 and were not thrilled. It was so crowded at the pool you had to stand around like a wild predator waiting to spring anytime you saw a chaise become available - and a chaise in the shade - forget it!

I live on Oahu and personally find the weather in South Kihei/Wailea to be the best and most consistent.
