Need recommendation for PDX Shuttle service

Can anyone recommend one of the many shuttle services from PDX airport? I need to book one for my 17 yo daughter.

Thanks!

Shuttle services are not big here. We have used them a couple times, but have not been all that pleased so use other means. MAX is good if she is going somewhere along those lines, but otherwise I would suggest a taxi. DH has taken taxis quite a bit when he didn't want to leave a car at the airport or if I was gone, and the taxis ended up being cheaper than the shuttle and we live in a suburb a ways from PDX itself.

Thanks mms. She needs to go to Lewis & Clark College so MAX won't work. I did consider having her take MAX to downtown and then pickup a cab from there (she is very familiar with Portland and MAX), but it just seemed easier to do taxi/shuttle from the airport - plus she needs ride back to the airport as well. The shuttle was $32 each way - so I was wondering how much the taxi would be - but you seem to think the cost isn't that much different? Should she call the night before for the taxi back to the airport or just in the morning - she will need to leave around 9:00am.

Everytime my DH or I have taken a taxi, it has been a lot less than the shuttle. Last time we used a shuttle was 2-3 years ago and they were charging over $75, where a cab is usually around $50. DH has done the cab thing as recently as a few months ago. You might see if L&C has any agreements with shuttles though. Otherwise the easiest is a taxi. She could call the night before departure, and if she liked the taxi she was in she could arrange it at that time.

Is she going on a weekend? There is bus service during the week, though it would require two bus changes on TriMet. Lewis and Clark College itself offers a shuttle service from downtown Portland (a block from the MAX stop) directly to the college:

(page down to get past the TriMet #39 bus)

You can always go to www.google.com/transit and punch in PDX and Lewis and Clark College and 9am on a weekday (no TriMet bus service to L&C Sat or Sun) and see what the bus commute from downtown is really like. It might not be so bad.
