Need Recommendation for Hotel/Motel Cape May, New Jersey

Would anyone have a recommendation for a decent, clean, not overly expensive place to stay in Cape May, New Jersey. My nephew is graduating from the Coast Guard on October 20 (this month). We need 3 separate rooms (we are from Ohio), another couple (my brother & wife) from California, and my nephew after graduation is over. We don't have much time - flying in Thursday evening, 10/19 and departing Saturday morning 10/21. We have never been anywhere near this area and looking at places on-line have left me totally confused. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

http://www.grandhotelcapemay.com/

This hotel would be one of the largest in Cape May.Most places are B&B's or Mom and Pop type motels. The Grand is on the same side of town as The Base.

This motel is down the road from the base (not walking distance}.
I would book soon, I think that time is "victorian week" and things can be busy.

We really enjoyed our stay at the "Duke of Windsor" It was back from the beach, but within easy walking distance of the water and the shopping areas.

It can be found on www.selectregistry.com

Also, loved the restaurant two doors down, but I forget the name.

Both the Grand Hotel and LeMer look perfect. Do you have a preference of one over the other? Thanks again for your help

I am from Cape May so i have never stayed in either{I did work at The Grand as a teen}.

The Grand is a hotel with a restaurant/bar,indoor pool/fitness center. It is just average not upscale.

Le Mer is a motel that was remodeled recently.
