Need Reco for 5-star Hotel in LA
 

Going for sun and relaxation - no sightseeing.
Would appreciate reco's for a 5-star luxury hotel or resort in LA (malibu, santa monica, bev hills, etc). I know price will expensive but I want a place with a great pool or beach atmosphere that is kept up and not tired looking.

Beverly Wilshire Hotel - it's a Four Seasons Hotel across from Rodeo Drive - enough said!!!

I love Shade in Manhattan Beach, but it's more of a boutique hotel near the beach than a true resort. It's only a year old, and the rooms are immaculate and very comfortable. Not to mention, the bathtubs are fantastic.

If you do go, have dinner at Mangiamo's down the street...excellent food and great service. Make reservations because it's tiny.
