Need pub type restaurant near Jackson, NJ

This weekend is our 25th high school reunion. Some people are going to the Friday night game at the high school. Out of towners are staying at the Sheraton in Eatontown. So, we were looking for a place to meet up after the game. Very casual, decent food that could handle 25-45 people if they drifted in (we wouldn't reserve anything). Any suggestions? Thanks!

I was just looking at the map. From a logistical standpoint, do you want something closer to Jackson or Eatontown?

My first thought was Martell's on the boardwalk in Point Pleasant.

There's a steakhouse on Rt. 33, near Freehold, called "Log Cabin". I haven't been there in years, but it sounds like it might be what you're looking for; and not too far from the Sheraton.

How about Charlie Brown's Steakhouse? This is a large pub/steakhouse with a good selection of food and drink, and a huge salad bar. Even though they are a chain, the food is quite good, and there's lots of it. I believe there is one on Rte 70 just west of Leisure Village - not sure if it's Lakewood or Toms River.

Much too far from Eatontown, at least 30 minutes south.

Everyone is awesome, thanks! I was thinking Charlie Browns and I did see there is one close by (in addition to the out of towners, there are still a few in the surrounding area of Jackson, so no matter where we pick someone will need to travel). I threw Charlie Brown's out to some of my old "gang", so I'm awaiting a response. I moved away a couple of years after graduation, so I am not familiar with places to "hang out" anymore. Thanks again!
