need posting help
 

I posted the SF - Is my itinerary too much - post tonight. I wanted it to come up under California but after 2 attempts it only comes up under the United States posts. Can someone tell me what I did wrong? Thank you!

You must not have selected California when you posted. Or if you did, the computer didn't take it for who knows what reason. Stranger things have happened when posting here!

All posts come up under the US, since it's the only board. When you look at particular states, it's a keyword search.

I'm not sure the keyword search always is immediately effective; perhaps indexing is done during off-peak hours?

No matter when the indexing is performed, "Anonymous" is correct that there is only a "US" forum, none for "California" or any of the other areas of the U.S.

It's just too bad (especially for newbies) that Fodors doesn't point this out better on the "Post a new Message" screen. (But then how many read & follow the instructions to "Give it a clear, identifying title"?)

kage- I thought maybe the problem was like rb said...that it takes time for the indexing, but it still isn't coming up when I choose California. You must not have chosen, or the site didn't acknowledge, your choice of California.
