need list of hotels within walking distance of santa cruz boardwalk

Im needing a list of hotels that are within walking distance of the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk. Im willing to walk up to 15 minutes from the hotel to the beach. Of main concern is the price of the hotels, so im looking for a hotel that puts me within close range of the beach area, but is also not too expensive (not more than $100 night).

Im looking to travel sometime in October (exact days are to be later determined)

Im very basic when it comes to hotel requirements: a clean quiet room with a bed, tv, and shower is all i need. Free parking is a must. Free breakfast is not a must, but would be nice.

something like a best western, holiday inn express, or just whatever hotel is under $100 a night would be ideal.

I find that maps.yahoo.com or maps.google.com is great for this sort of search. Map the area you want to stay in and then "search nearby businesses" for "hotel". You'll be able to see all the hotels in your area and start looking for ones in your budget.

Google earth is good for this sort of search too.

Or you can try expedia.com (and similar) with the map view.

I have stayed at the following fairly recently:
Dream Inn - great place. Right on the beach. We had a room wiht a sliding door right out to the pool. Prices have increased dramatically. Can't afford it anymore
West Cliff B & B - Beautiful place, right across from the Dream Inn.
Seaway Inn - Breakfast and afternoon cookies/tea included. Very nice staff. Clean, but small rooms. DD Loved the shower water pressure. Table & chairs outside your room.

Sea and Sand - Haven't stayed but thought it was nicely located next to the Dream Inn so right on the beach.
