Hi. I can't comment on all of your hotel options, but I did stay at the Wyhndham Bel Age a few years ago and recommend it highly. It was a great hotel and I would love to stay there again. It is located just off the Sunset Strip in W. Hollywood, so the area has a young, hip vibe, but the hotel itself did not seem trendy or nightclubby. I don't recall a bar at all.

Maybe I have it wrong (I don't quite have LA figured out yet), but I also remember it being pretty close to UCLA/Westwood. My boyfriend went to school there and he has a favorite breakfast place we visited.

BTW, we got the hotel through priceline. At the time, it was the only known 4 star in W. Hollywood; it may still be. I also joined their frequent visitor club and they sent up a wine and cheese plate after we arrived.
