Need Key West Info

Hey,

My husband and I will be going to Key West in April for a few days. Will it be warm enough to snorkel then? Where do I find information on that?

or try www.fla-keys.com.

I've snorkeled in April many times, and in March.

Obviously, the weather can change on a dime during that time. It's not so much the temperature, as the waves. With weather coming in, the sea gets churned. It gets too "bumpy" to snorkel.

Make sure you stop in Big Pine Key if you're a snorkeler. I forget the name of the shop, but you need to travel offshore a bit to get to the reef- see http://thefloridakeys.com/bigpine/diving.htm for some ideas. This was one of the best snorkel experiences we've had. We even managed to see a shark, sea turtle and quite a few rays with of course all the reef fish.

We went in November and the water had a little bit of a chill, so we used wetsuits at the suggestion of the tour operator, but this wasn't a problem at all.

Have fun!
