I need help! We are finally able to go on an unplanned vacation for 5 days Sept. 9-14, which doesn't give me time to research. We want to go to Kaui and stay in a fabulous place, but we only have a $3000 budget, which needs to include airfare out of Sacramento!!!! Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks soo much!

Try Expedia.com for a package. Or try Hawaiian Airlines for a package.

Define "fabulous" place.

Airfare will only take about $1000 of your budget (assuming you meant Oct 9-14 and not Sept 9-14). You should be able to use the other $2000 for everything else (lodging, food, etc.)...but depending on your definition of "fabulous," that could be tough.

So money saving tips: packages (which may be better for you given that you're going in less than a month), condos, not eating out all the time, etc.

if you can't spell it correctly, maybe you should go somewhere else. can you spell m-a-u-i ?
