Need info on Lodi CA
We're going to the Spring wine show in March.I thought it would be great to stay at the Holiday Inn Express on S Cherokee St and walk to the fest (1.5 miles) at the fairgrounds on E. Lockeford Ln.This seems to be a busy street. Are there sidewalks either along that street or along streets behind it? Is it a safe area in which to walk at night? Thanks!

LLindaC,
All you need to know about Lodi, Creedence Clearwater Revival sang years ago: "Oh Lord, I'm Stuck In Lodi Again"!!!! C |
Curious,
HA HA> I'm a musician, and that song is STILL in my repertoire! There are some great wineries very near to the city. The Lodi Spring Wine Festival has some quality wines- several of our favorite labels. Anyway, I still need help with this answer....anyone?ps- we're only staying 2 days ;-) |
It's funny. That song immediately went through my head as well! Actually, Lodi has some really charming areas and it's an interesting little community. Unfortunately, hotels usually aren't in the charming areas. I'm sure you'll have a nice time. :-)

No matter how charming or interesting Lodi is, it will be forever tainted in our minds.
"If I only had a dollar, for every song I'd sung..." |
At this rate we'll have the whole song..anyone know if this area is safe to walk at night?

Hi, I am going to reccomend some web sites on Lodi.
http://www.winerose.com/ http://www.visitlodi.com/ http://www.lodichamber.com/ http://www.lodiwine.com/ http://www.lodiwines.com/ Lockeford does have side walks so does Cherokee. Its right next to Highway 99. If you going to be with a couple people you will be fine. Its within walking distance especially after drinking some wine. |
