Need info on day spas Scottsdale AZ

Does anyone know of any spas at any of the Scottsdale resorts that will allow you to use their swimming pools if you purchase spa treatments?

The Phoenician. Just don't make a big deal out of using it. Get a spa treatment and they allow you to use their fitness center, jacuzzi, sauna, steam at no cost. Then go to the pool and enjoy! I would suggest you don't order anything to eat or drink though since you won't have a room to charge it to.

The Marriott Camelback allows use of all spa facilities -- including the separate pool -- if you pay for any spa treatment.

My 75-year old mother and I will have a girls-only weekend together in Phoenix at the end of the month. I'd like to take her to a 2-hour spa treatment of some sort. Neither of us have ever done such a thing. Facial, relaxing massage, body wrap (?), etc. We would want to keep the cost to $200 or less (per person).

Can you suggest a specific spa for us? Can you suggest specific treatments we might enjoy?

We will have a car, so the spa doesn't have to be in Scottsdale or Phoenix, but just in the greater Phoenix area.

Thanks!

I'm an AZ spa addict. The spas at the resorts are pretty spendy. I paid $120 for a massage at the Phoenician last August while staying there for the weekend. A very nice experience, but you probably won't get that much for your money at a resort. If you have a place to stay already, there are many great day spas in town. I like Dolce in Chandler, but would avoid Madison Avenue. Dolce has a great relaxing atmosphere with great robes to sit around in and you can have lunch ordered in from P.F. Changs next door. Check out the web site at dolcesalonspa.com. A facial is $70 and a 1 hr massage is $70, leaving you $$ for lunch or a pedicure and the tip.

The Boulders Resort in Carefree and the JW Marriott, Desert Ridge, both have pools right by the spa facilities; a spa treatment entitles you to use of those pools. I've had massages at both and really enjoyed them.

The Westin Kierland has a nice spa and offers the use of the pool areas with any service (even a manicure!). I haven't been to the spa, but my mother in law has and she really enjoyed it.
