Need help with planning vacation in late April/early May!!

My wife and I are planning our annual spring vacation. Every year we have traveled somewhere in the Caribbean, but we are wanting to stay in the states because we are currently 3 months pregnant. We are having a tough time figuring our where to go during late April or early May. We want sun, spa, golf (for me!), nice beach, and just a relaxing time for a week. This will be our first child so it will just be the 2 of us traveling. California? Florida? Any help would be appreciated!!

Hawaii? My parents went in April a few years back (after the Spring Breakers left) and they had a wonderful time, said it was a great time of year to go.

I second Hawaii. If not, you may enjoy somewhere like Monterey or Carmel, California.

Haven't been to the US in April/May but for relaxation we love Santa Barbara.Paul

If you look at wunderground.com they have a trip planner on the bottom right of the page. You can see historic temps for the dates you're considering. Whether to do Fla. or Cal. or Hawaii I guess depends somewhat on where you live, your budget and your interests.

How about the Charleston/Kiawah Island/Isle of Palms area of South Carolina? I would go in early May, to insure warmer weather. Stay at the beach for relaxation and take a drive into the city if you're looking for activities/sight seeing.
