Need help with hotel in Miami with nice pool/beach area? PLEASE
Hello, I feel a little stupid asking for Miami help because I went ot college in Miami but it was MANY years ago. I want to take my 15 year old daughter to Miami for a long weekend at the end of the summer. The only hotel I ever stayed at on the beach was the Fontainebleu and it was wonderful then. I don't care alot about a fantastic room but I want something clean. What I do want is a fantastic pool and beach area *pool is most important*. I loved the pool then at the Fontainebleu but it seems to be having alot of construction going on and so I am not sure. I don't care about being actually in SoBe but that would be fine if you can reccomend a great pool hotel.
We will have a rental car so getting places is not a problem but it would be nice to have a couple restaurants within walking distance or on property. Thanks for any help you can give. April |
Hi April:
Just a few ideas Sheraton Bal Harbour, I know you said Miami but, the Westin Diplomat Resort and Spa, in Hollywood has a really nice pool, what I can't remember is how nice the beach was, the pool is great. Hope this helps Gina |
What about the Ritz on Key Biscayne?
|
Thanks for the responses, I had not thought about Key Biscayne so that is an idea. I will also look into the Westin Hollywood idea.
Thanks again,April |
I think you and your daughter would enjoy the Ritz more. The Westin is a huge convention hotel.

We liked the Sheraton Bal Harbour. There's a mall and restaurants opposite the hotel. The beach area is fine and the pool is great with pretty waterfall section and slide.
It's small enough to get around easily (not a mega resort). We loved the buffet breakfast which was included in our rate but would be expensive otherwise. |
I think the Sheridan Bal Harbour is being torn down. The best place without question if the Mariott Harbour Beach. Nice pool and beach and located near Fort Lauderdale/Las Olas.

It was supposed to be torn down last August, but Starwood delayed it because of a shortage of rooms for the Super Bowl. Last I heard it was being torn down this month.
