Need Help - wine country lodging with kitchen

My huband and I are planning a trip to No. CA the first week of June. We want to stay 2 nights somewhere in the wine country. We want to keep the cost down around $100-150/night. Can anyone recommend lodging with a kitchen? We prefer to cook for ourselves. Thank you!!

Silverado has one and two bedroom suites with full kitchen. I've stayed in a jr. suite with a "kitchenette" and working fireplace; it was nice--however a little noisy across from a pool area.

This is certainly a unique post for this board. Most places in Napa and Sonoma will be above your price level at that time of year. For example, at the Silverado Resort, rooms in June start at $335 per night.

Most people who come to the wine country are interested in the cuisine as well as the wines. So kitchenettes are not so common.

One place did come to mind though. Mountain Home Ranch in the hills above Calisoga. This is an old time resort with rustic cabins with kitchens. And it's within your price range. Don't know if they have any vacancies though.

Another option would be to find something up in Lake County and then you could day trip to Napa and Sonoma.

You could search vrbo for a 1 bdrm
or studio-look at the less popular yet very nice spots such as Sebastopol.

Next search Santa Rosa for hotel chains with kitchens such as Extended Stay America.

The Roman Spa hotel in Calistoga has kitchen suites-you'll have to call them for prices.

If you do find a place be sure to post back as I imagine others
would like to know !

Check out www.sonomacountyvacations.com and look at their vacation rentals pages. These are private homes/apts, some will be in your price range. The list of homes is in the Healdsburg area, about 1 1/2 hours N. of San Francisco. Its in Sonoma county, rather than Napa.

UPDATE - Thank you all for your advice. I did find a very nice cottage in Healdsburg named "Zinscape" that is in a vineyard and has a kitchen. For anyone seaching threads the website is www.zinscape.com

We spent 3 weeks at this cottage in Kenwood and it was affordable and perfect. You can tour the Sonoma wineries and it is only 20 minutes from Napa. Quite Convient. www.kathrynskenwoodcottage.com

Both of these places look very nice, we were in Healdsburg (for Cyrus) and Sonoma last month! ***kim*** ((#))
