Need help on Maui accomodations

We are currently booked into an ocean view club level room at the Four Seasons Maui for our honeymoon in October, but we have just discovered that construction will be going on during that time.

After calling the hotel, they told us that the construction will be going on seven days a week from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. and that it can be heard poolside. They recommended that we utilize the beach, but I'm pretty irate with the fact that they are doing this in the middle of their high season.

We are deciding on cancelling our reservation and booking another hotel. Can anyone on this board recommend other accomodations similar to the Four Seasons? We want a nice ocean view, superb service, beautiful surroundings, and very few children as possible (none would be best).

Thanks

Grand Wailea is amazing....you are less likely to have kids in oct.

Although, we LOVE the GW, it will have kids(although they have adult only areas). I think for what you want the Kapalua Bay hotel would work best, followed by the Ritz. Good Luck !!

In defense of the hotel, October is not their high season - it's the low season, actually. We were in Maui in October, and the place was pretty quiet (I mean, few people).

The Ritz Carlton is absolutely gorgeous. But the Grand Wailea has the beautiful beaches. Both are recommended.
