Need help on a hotel in Naples

My husband and I would like to go to Naples for a few days in March - we have never been there before - looking to stay at either Inn on Fifth, Bellasera or Trianon - we love to walk, not big beach people, but like walking the beach, nice restaurants - any suggestions or comments on these hotels?

I can only comment on the location of your three choices in relation to attractions etc in Naples. I've never seen the rooms of these hotels as I'm a local. The Inn on 5th is just that, located right on 5th Ave which is one of the two major shopping and restaurant streets in Old Naples. This hotel is less than a 10 minute walk to the beach. Stolling up and down 5th ave is nice, lots of cafes and shops to look at. Bellasera is a new condo type development on US 41, which is a busy 6 lane road. The property is set back from the street somewhat and looks nice. You are about a 15 minute walk to the beach from here, either through residential areas to the west or you can walk down US 41 to 5th ave and head to the beach that way. Trianon is located south of 5th ave in a mainly residential area. I think it's about 2 short blocks south of 5th ave, your walk to the beach would be mainly through residential areas and our local park, Cambier Park. It's not more than 15 minute walk to the beach. I'd probably pick the Inn on 5th for the best "Naples" experience.

I'd retire to naples tomorrow. if you dont like the beach (too bad, it's gorgeous) the bellasera is really beautiful. My pick though is the ritz carlton golf resort. its just so gorgeous, and much cheaper than the beach resort (and far less stuffy.) Like a classy gentlemans club.

Bellasara is a beautiful hotel. Just got back. We had a 2 bedroom/2 bathroom condo with full kitchen, dining room, lounge and balcony. Rooms are very tastefully furnished and well equiped. Pool area is lovely. Had a really good time. Would recommend staying there. Its only a short walk to 5th Ave.

Look at the Ritz Carlton Golf Resort- very affordable and you get access to the beach resort. Also, it's much quieter than the beach resort.

Stayed at Inn on Fifth a number of years ago. It's more a business type hotel right in the middle of things but not a bad walk to the beach. Rooms are nice. Only major negative is the pool. It's small and set in the parking lot, so not really pleasant spot to sit. The others must be newer options. Have you looked at the Escalante?

The Edgewater Beach Hotel is nice, directly on the beach. It is a suite hotel. Great spot.

I have heard great things about The Edgewater Beach. My husband's parents go every year and love it! I would definitly check it out!
