Need help in Outer Banks, NC

We are attending a wedding Memorial Day weekend. We are staying at a condo in the Currituck Club in Corrola. Does anyone have any suggestions for an upscale dinner out? All of the info I have looked at looks like tourist traps. Also any recommendations for golfing?

Thanks in advance for your help.

We stayed in the Currituck Club two summers ago, and found a wonderful restaurant in Duck. It is called Elizabeth's Cafe and Winery (252-261-6145). It is not a tourist trap. It is a restaurant that is upscale and VERY serious about wine. Their wine list (book) is the largest we have ever seen. I think their website is www.elizabethscafe.com. If you do a search on the restaurant, you will be able to read many positive reviews, including one from Southern Living. Have a great weekend.

Carolina Blue (Southern Shores)
Sanderling Inn (Duck)
Ocean Boulevard (Kitty Hawk)
1587 (Manteo)

I second the Sanderling Inn in Duck and Ocean Boulevard in Kitty Hawk- both are excellent choices. If you have a large party, the Sanderling Inn has a private dining room for 10-12 people that is perfect and you are in complete privacy-I believe it's called the Admiral's Room (not sure, but they'll know what you're referring to). Good luck!

I just stayed in Corolla this past weekend and some family members golfed at the Currituck Club -- I think that was what it was called. They thought it was great.
