Need help from connecticut folks in the know
 

Hi - we'll be in Meriden for a few days at the end of February and would like to meet friends for dinner who live in New Rochelle, NY. I'm looking for a nice restaurant that is approx half way between meriden and new rochelle. Italian would be nice, steaks are fine - ideas welcome! thanks

pasta vera in greenwich, ct is a lovely spot.

It's not steak or Italian, but I like Sakura (Japanese) in Weston. 1/2 way from Meriden to NR is about Weston or Bridgeport.

Sakura is in Westport, Connecticut near Exit 18 off of I-95. It's a hibachi restaurant with sushi and other Japanese dishes.

skiergirl is correct - I meant Westport, not Weston.

Thanks for the ideas - my DH won't go for Japanese unfortunately. Any others??

Paci in southport is very good. Pane vino in westport is very good- more romantic. Quattro Pazzi in fairfield (or i think they moved close by) is very good.
