Need help finding lodging in Disneyworld area
 

Hi,<BR><BR>We are a family of 4 (kids 16 & 12) going to Disney world Jan.1-4 and need help finding an affordable hotel suite (kitchen would be great). <BR><BR>I did a lot of research and am looking into the following hotels but would like other suggestions or input on them:<BR><BR>Comfort Inn - Lake Buena Vista ($36 US/night)<BR>Lake Buena Vista Wyndham Summerfield ($73.75 US/night)<BR>Sandy Lake Towers ($79/night for 2 bedrooms)<BR>Westgate Vacation Villas (115.97 CDN/night for hotel room)- the last 2 are a bit too expensive though<BR>

This is a recent hotel (built in 2000) and the rate was excellent! I can cancel with no penalty so if I find something better I will. So far this was the best deal I could find ($49 US/night)- kitchenette, pool, exercise room and buffet breakfast included.

As long as you know that Universal is a 10-15 minute drive to Disney, you should be fine at Amerisuites. I got two rooms at the Wyndham Orlando on International Drive for $25 each through Priceline in January 2002.

Wow! That was a good deal with Price line. You were very lucky! Did you get the 2 rooms next to each other?<BR><BR>I have been to Disney World many times before and I know that Universal is a 10 minutes drive. We might go to Universal instead of Disney this time. We have been to Universal before and the kids enjoyed it a lot - we'll decide at the last minute.

I just returned from Orlando and thought of giving you an update on the Amerisuite on Caravan St. where we stayed.<BR><BR>It was not really a kitchenette, only a microwave, sink and small fridge (no freezer)+ the plates and utensils.<BR><BR>The Suite was divided by a half wall. The building looked new from the outside but did not feel new inside for some reason. <BR><BR>Overall, it was ok for the price we paid. The breakfast buffet was nice and we actually walked to Universal!<BR><BR><BR><BR>
